Why is no site working except yahoo?

i uses firefox and safari and none of them r working plus the wifi is not working. so basically no website is working except my yahoo toolbar which consists off flicker ebay amazon, and everything yahoo. y is this? wen i try going any where else it just gets stuck "connecting" and doesnt load. any advice please?
